'LOL' Left as a Tip....NOT COOL!
Jess Jones is a waitress at D’Jais Bar & Grill in Belmar, New Jersey. After a recent shift, she posted a photo to Facebook showing a receipt from a party of 8 people. In the space for the tip was written 'LOL' with the added note '1 hour for food'. This is infuriating! I will admit that I have experienced some bad service in my day, but also having worked as both a bartender and waitress you come to rely on tips to get by. Thoughts?
Little Audrey With Some Monday Motivation
Audrey Nethery is 6 years old and suffers from a rare bone marrow disease called Diamond-Blackfan anemia, but that doesn't stop her from moving and shaking with the Latin inspired dance exercise Zumba. There was a Zumba convention in Orlando, Florida last week and Audrey stole the show with some Zumba instructors. The video was posted on Facebook and has now gone viral. This little girl has totally given me some much needed Monday motivation to get off my butt and exercise. She's amazing!
Here is the professional video Zumba produced of Audrey dancing at the Zumba convention!!!! Thanks so much Zumba!!! We appreciate everything you have done for our family!!!Posted by Audrey's DBA Photo Booth on Tuesday, August 18, 2015
"They Took My Floatie!"
Everyone likes to take a dip in the pool on a hot August day, even bears in New Jersey. To be fair, I'd be angry too if they took my floatie.
It's National Radio Day!
Each year on August 20th, National Radio Day celebrates the great invention of the radio. I know I'm celebrating, I don't know what I would be doing without radio.
4 Miles of Sunflowers!?!?! Time for a Drive on Highway 85
Babbette Jaquish really loved sunflowers. So much so that after she passed away in November from cancer, her husband Don planted over 400 acres of sunflowers lining the sides of Highway 85 in Eau Claire. 4.5 miles of sunflowers!
Now, Babbette's family is honoring her even more with Babbette's Seeds of Hope. They are going to sell the sunflower seeds and donate a portion of the proceeds to hospitals, research and patient advocacy.
Here is small drone clip of the sunflowers for those who are not able to come and see!Posted by Babbette's Seeds of Hope on Thursday, August 13, 2015
