Ronnie Joice was "a bit worn out" after a day of meetings for a prospective job when he stopped at a bar and found this poem up on the wall and posted it to Twitter. The poem seems to be negative, but there's a twist at the end.
The poem was written by 11th grader Chanie Gorkin of Brooklyn, New York. She wrote the poem for a school assignment in which she was instructed to write about her worst day ever. I bet she didn't realize that "her worst day ever" would turn into a viral hit. This girl has some serious writing talent that really gives us something to think about.
You can thank Kristen Bell for causing the tears today. 6-year-old Avery Huffman was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor last month. Not sure how Kristen Bell found out that Avery was a big Frozen fan (who isn't?), but she called and left Avery a voicemail using her Princess Anna voice declaring her an honorary princess. You can see the joy on Avery's face.
Laura Ruffino goes above and beyond when it comes to being a best friend. She and Elizabeth Diamond have been best friends for three decades. Laura is married with 2 daughters, while Elizabeth was a single mom with 4 daughters. When Elizabeth got the devastating news that she was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer in August of 2014 she worried about who would raise her 4 daughters, so she went to her best friend.
In a recent interview, Laura recalls the moment Elizabeth asked her to look after her daughters, “She said if anything ever happens to me I want you to take my girls and I instantly said ok".
Laura and her husband Rico are unbelievably selfless for taking this on. What an amazing best friend! They are adjusting to the new financial aspects of their bigger family and have set up a YouCaring campaign to help with costs.
Blake Shelton returned to the set of The Voice on Wednesday and he's back on Twitter. He tweeted that he's bringing some baggage with him, and no, not the baggage from his divorce from Miranda Lambert.
Back to work filming @NBCTheVoice today. Wonder if I'm gonna be the only one who rolls in a full ice chest....?— Blake Shelton (@blakeshelton) July 22, 2015
So, it looks as if things aren't much different for Shelton. He looks to be taping auditions for Season 9 of The Voice which will return Monday, September 21st on NBC. Shelton has been a judge on every season of The Voice along with Adam Levine
A diner owner named Darla in Maine is under fire for recently yelling at a 2-year-old for throwing a tantrum for 40 minutes in her diner. She claims she asked the parents to take her outside while she was throwing her tantrum, but the parents refused. Finally, Darla went over to the table, threw her hands down on the table and said, "This needs to stop!" The parents have since been sharing their feelings on the situation on social media. What do you think? Did Darla go too far or should the parents have taken the toddler outside? What would you do if you were the parents or the diner owner for that matter? How were the patrons feeling? Whose side are you on?
