She was born August 13th, 1933. The oldest of 8 kids on a sharecroppers farm in Arkansas. Joycelyn Elders retired Surgeon General of The United States. She enlisted in the US Army in 1953. She spent time with the VA in Milwaukee and at The University of Minnesota. Happy Birthday !
