Social Distance Holiday: Reserve A Private Island For Thanksgiving This Year
Written by Tony Schultz on October 22, 2020
Your Friendsgiving could get a major upgrade this year thanks to a new offering by Hotels.com. The hotel booking site has announced that an entire island off the Florida coast will be available for one week next month to host your Friendsgiving celebration. The aptly named “Friendsgiving Island” boasts a 3-bed, 2-bath, 5,000-square-foot vacation home with a veranda, boat dock, and even helicopter launch pad in case you need it. The seven-night stay, which is set for November 14-21, even comes equipped with a boat for your personal use throughout the week, as well as kayaks and paddleboards. Hotels.com will even be taking care of Thanksgiving dinner for you, as the reservation comes with a one-night private chef who will cook the Friendsgiving meal. As for getting the island booked, Hotels.com says to, “Mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 27 at 10 AM ET and visit Hotels.com/FriendsgivingIsland, because this experience is available on a first-come, first-served basis.” Reserving just one night on this private island would usually cost $1,400. But Hotels.com is offering this seven-night stay for the discounted rate of less than $50 per person per night for your group of 6.
