Rockefeller tree lighting 2020: Everything you need to know
Written by admin on November 20, 2020
This is one of the best events of the holiday season. Each year, the tree in NYC is stunning! According to TODAY, this year’s tree-lighting ceremony/event may look slightly different, but it’s still happening and it will be beautiful!
The annual Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting special will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd from 7-9pm on NBC. There will be some changes. First and foremost, there won’t be a crowd of people gathered around to watch the giant tree being lit. You’ll watch from the comfort of your home, cozy in your PJ’s, but you’ll still get to see the beauty and excitement of the tree-lighting!
TODAY anchors Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Craig Melvin and Al Roker host the festivities, while socially distancing of course. TODAY reports, “there will be a live hour of special performances on all NBC stations and many affiliates from 6-7pm, hosted by “Access Hollywood’s” Mario Lopez, NBC4 New York’s Natalie Pasquarella and David Ushery”.
List of 2020 performers include:
- Kelly Clarkson
- Goo Goo Dolls
- Earth, Wind & Fire
- Jimmy Fallon
- Brett Eldredge
- Tori Kelly
- Leslie Odom Jr.
- Dolly Parton
- Pentatonix
