Who Is The New Host Of Jeopardy?
Written by Tony Schultz on November 24, 2020
Production of the game show “Jeopardy!” will resume on November 30, following the death of longtime host Alex Trebek. The show announced that while a long-term replacement host has not been named at this time, “Jeopardy!” will “return to the studio with a series of interim guest hosts from within the Jeopardy! Family.” The first interim host of “Jeopardy!” will be Ken Jennings, the former contestant who claimed the title of “Jeopardy!’s” “Greatest of All Time” in a prime-time event earlier this year. Jennings currently holds the all-time records for most consecutive “Jeopardy!” games won (74) and the highest winnings in regular-season play ($2,520,700). The other guest hosts will be announced in the weeks ahead. In memory of Trebek, “Jeopardy!” has also announced that it will air 10 of his best episodes during the weeks of December 21 and December 28, 2020. Alex’s last week of episodes will now air the week of January 4, 2021, with the first week of guest-hosted shows airing the week of January 11, 2021.
