7AM pledge of Allegiance with DUKE, from Bauer’s Market and Garden Center. January 18th, 1957, Operation Power flight began as 3 B-52 jet aircraft left a base in California and flew non-stop around the World. Flying at an average speed of 534 miles per hour, it 45 hours to complete the mission. The planes covered 24, 325 miles. It was the first time inflight refueling of jet aircraft was used this extensively. Kudos to the US Air Force !!
