KQ98 Salute: The King

Bauer’s Market and Garden Center brings Us the KQ98 Salute with DUKE and the Pledge of Allegiance. Today we salute the late Eddie Feigner of ” The King and His Court”. Eddie was perhaps the best fast pitch softball pitcher of all-time. He made a living barnstorming across America in the ’40’s,50’s, 60’s 70’s,80’s and into the 1990’s. His pitches were clocked at 104 mph. His “team” consisted of a catcher, first baseman, shortstop and Himself as pitcher and emcee, in a very entertaining and amazing ballgame. I had the great pleasure of Playing against Them in the late ’80’s in Spring Grove. In His career he played on over 300 military bases here and abroad. Feigner always sported a tight crew cut hairstyle, an honor to His time in the Marine Corps from 1943 to 1947. He passed away in 2007. Salute to The King, Eddie Feigner, US Marines.
