KQ98 Salute- Elvis

It was march 5th, 1960 Sargent Elvis Presley was Honorably discharged from the US Army. Elvis was drafted in 1958, and was offered ” Special Service” duty, meaning He could do basic training and then do a few troop shows a year and fulfill his obligation. He chose to do His service as regular Army, and served in the 32nd Armored Regiment, 3rd Armored division. By all accounts he was a good Soldier and received the good conduct medal after being discharged. He served in the US Army reserve until March of 1964. Bauer’s Market and Garden Center brings Us the KQ98 salute each Morning at 7AM with DUKE on the Pledge of Allegiance. Today We salute ELVIS!
