Supporting LaCrosse Area Veteran Mentor Program With KQ98 Cares

Since 2010 the La Crosse Area Veteran Mentor Program has been helping Veterans in need of support and health care and assisting them with finding and utilizing programs that support their return from active duty. LAVMP has been a great resource for veterans in our area. LAVMP is hosting the second Seasonal Bag Giveaway, a Rainy-Day Bag, on 1 May, 2021 from 9am-2pm. This is the second event in a four event series we are excited to implement. We have 25 bags filled with items to help veterans stay a little dryer and combat all that comes with wet weather. The bags include items such as ponchos, tarps, shoe coverings, hand/feet warmers and some personal hygiene items. The veteran does not need to be homeless in order to receive a bag, these are for any person who has worn the uniform for a day, any age, campaign, branch of service or timeframe.
