Busy Season For Farmers, Remember To Be Safe Out There
Written by Tony Schultz on April 22, 2021
This time of year we know our farmers are very busy. New animals, tuning up and repairing equipment, prepping and planting fields all take a lot of time and hard work. As I say, “Farming isn’t a job, it’s a lifestyle.” You’ll often hear me say to you to give them some room and patience when you see farm equipment on the roads. They use them too to get to their fields and make a living. I also want to remind our farming friends to be careful out there. We need you! Make sure you’re taking those safety precautions in the fields and on the roads as well. Nothing is so important that it needs to be done in haste and ignoring your safety. I saw the following story and it made me wonder what the whole story is. Dragged four football fields and live to tell about it is quite the tale to tell. Those stories don’t always turn out that well. So let’s all remember to be careful out there and do the best to keep the ambulance, fire trucks, and helicopter parked right where they are.
