Alan Jackson Jokes Justin Timberlake’s ‘SexyBack’ Inspired ‘I’m Bringing Country Back’

Alan Jackson’s song “Back” may have been inspired by Justin Timberlake…sort of.

In a recent episode of Today’s Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen, on Apple Music, 62-year-old Alan Jackson talks about his 16th studio album Where Have You Gone, which dropped May 14. The album features new singles including “Back,” which Alan revealed was somewhat inspired by one of Justin Timberlake’s songs, “SexyBack.” Start listening to the interview at 2:10 to hear how it went down.

Jackson went on to say that he was “teasing” about creating a country song inspired by “SexyBack,” but pressure from his kids led to him to actually write the song.
