Kelly Clarkson Moves Garth Brooks To Tears With The Dance
Written by Tony Schultz on June 8, 2021
The Kennedy Center Honors always celebrates the best their is every year. Garth Brooks has definitely had a major impact on Country Music, but also on music as a whole. When Garth hit in the early 1990s he sparked a following that spanned every age group and demographic. I still blame him (jokingly) for all the “city folk” suddenly wanting to go line dancing and buy a pickup truck driving the prices up. When they announced he was being honored I thought that he was more than deserving. Then, I heard Kelly Clarkson was singing his hit song “The Dance” at the ceremony and I thought that was a great idea! She has a beautiful voice and will do it justice. Needless to say she took it above and beyond with her soulful rendition Sunday night. Garth tears up and you might too.
