A New Bowl Game This College Season With A Famous Name

OK, there are too many “bowl games” in college football. Let’s just get that out there. You have the big ones like the Rose Bowl, Cotton Bowl, Orange Bowl, Peach Bowl and Sugar Bowl that have been around forever. The only difference is the sponsors that have attached themselves to them. After that you get a glut of bowls for different conferences with different sponsors. Some are legitimate games with big team match ups while others make you wonder why these two teams you’ve barely heard of are playing in a bowl game. Los Angeles decided that they needed to get into the bowl game buffet as well and looked for a sponsor. They got one. Last night Jimmy Kimmel announced during his monologue that this would be the first ever college bowl game to be sponsored by a person. No joke.
