Dodgers Ball Girl Takes Down Fan On The Run

Every so often we are graced with someone running onto the field at a major sporting event. Sometimes they are clothed and sometimes they are not clothed at all. This used to be popular pastime in the 70s and 80s without much more than a slap on the wrist and maybe a stay in the drunk tank if alcohol was a major contributor. The famous video of Hank Aaron hitting number 715 with two fans patting him on the back as he rounds the bases is from a bygone era when the players felt safe and protected on the playing field. Times have changed since there have been fans that have gone beyond taunting players from the stands and gone after them. In 1993 Monica Seles was stabbed by a deranged fan. Later, in 2002 Tom Gamboa, a coach for the White Sox was attacked by two fans running out of the stands. Security just can’t risk it being playful high jinks anymore so now we get lengthy chases and the occasional tackle or even a taser is deployed. The cheering goes from the wild fan to eventually the security guards. In this case though it goes to the Dodgers ball girl who squares up like Eric Kendricks and grabs the man, and that sends him flying into and over the bleacher railing! It is a highlight reel tackle! From the original video I saw it looked like she forearm shivered him into the rail, but other angles show she grabbed him and threw him over more than tackled him.
This second video gives a better angle and closer view!
