When Royce and Frankie King got married it was a whirlwind moment as he was being deployed overseas to fight in World War 2 in the Air Force. No time for her to get a dress much less for wedding photos of the happy couple. Royce made it back, which wasn’t the way it went for everyone to enjoy 77 years of wedded bliss. The workers at St. Croix Hospice in Oelwein, Iowa wanted to make this a reality for them. So they found Frankie an era appropriate wedding dress and Royce wore his Air Force uniform.
