A Less Messy and Quick Way to Carve a Pumpkin

Pumpkin carving can be a great way for families to spend quality time together. There are some people who find it too time consuming, or are grossed out by the seeds and gunk that have to be scooped out. However, if you’re looking for a quick and less messy way to get it over with, there is a pumpkin hack making the rounds on social media.

According to a TikTok video posted by Southern Living, if you’re not into the whole pumpkin slime, they suggest using a power drill and an egg beater attachment from a kitchen mixer. First, remove the top of the pumpkin by carving a circle around the stem like normal. Next, grab the egg beater attachment and stick it into the front of the power drill like a drill bit. Use the tool to loosen up the pulp from the inner walls and then when everything is loose, pick up the pumpkin, turn it upside down and everything should fall out smoothly.

Once the pumpkin is all cleaned out, all you have to worry about is carving the design. Good luck!
