YOUTUBERS WHO WERE DIVING TO CLEAN UP ARE NOW HELPING FAMILIES WITH MISSING LOVED ONES

Over the last few years the number of “famous” people on social media has bloomed at an almost unfathomable rate. Whether they are influencers talking about the latest fashion trend or they simply put up a video of the latest dance or online challenge they are there in most instances for entertainment. Some divers from Oregon led by Jared Leisek called Adventures With Purpose started a channel showing them diving for garbage at the bottom of rivers and lakes. Bringing up treasures and tickets, but mostly trash to show off on their channel. In one episode they started to discover a large number of vehicles and documented the extrication of the autos from the depths. These videos were for fun and found an audience that was enamored by their finds. However, that job has changed from one of exploration and clean up of garbage to one of help and closure for families who are missing loved ones. Jared and his crew started getting calls to dive car wrecks or potential sites where vehicles may still be undiscovered that people think their loved ones are. They took on this new job and are becoming a huge help to law enforcement all over the country with their diving equipment and abilities to locate submerged vehicles. They have helped solve cold cases including ones in Iowa and Wisconsin and have recovered 16 missing people with their efforts. I found their videos fascinating and their level of care and professionalism well above people only looking for clicks and likes. See what you think and maybe you can help them solve a mystery like other viewers.
