A Man Being Buried Alive is YouTube’s Top Trending Video of 2021

Being buried alive is a fear that a lot of people have. There’s a phobia called “taphophobia” which is the irrational fear of being buried alive.

YouTube announced their top trending video of 2021 from their year-end data, and revealed that the video titled, “I Spent 50 Hours Buried Alive,” uploaded in March by YouTube creator and influencer MrBeast, or Jimmy Donaldson, is the one that took the top honor. The video has racked up more than 148 million views and 83.2 million subscribers.

The coffin was rigged with cameras and included a makeshift toilet, because how else are you going to be able to go to the bathroom when laying in a coffin… alive, for 50 hours? There were also pillows and blankets to make the experience a bit more tolerable.

Donaldson used walkie-talkies to keep in contact with his team in case something happened. Watch the video below, if you dare!

Donaldson is one of YouTube’s top creators. He has several channels and along with friends, he creates viral videos with challenges and competitions that often involve prize money.
