The Weekend Three: December 3-5, 2021

The Weekend Three highlights three events that take place over the weekend across the Tri-States. These events are anything from fundraisers, festivals and fairs to other various community functions. If interested, feel free to take part in any of these events and support local communities.

Ugly Sweater 5K Run/Walk

The Rotary Club of La Crosse – After Hours is hosting the Ugly Sweater 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, December 4th. This year’s race will be both in-person and virtual. Packet pick-up and race-day check-in will be at the Myrick Park Center beginning at 3:00 pm with holiday music and characters. Same-day registration is also available.

The race begins at 4:15 pm in Myrick Park and racers will run/walk through the La Crosse marsh trails under sparkly lights. The race ends at Riverside Park at Rotary Lights. An award ceremony will take place in the heated tent at Rotary Lights, and will have plenty of ugly sweaters, holiday lights, and cheer! More info go here.

Sparta’s 7th Annual KriskindlMarkt

Sparta’s Kriskindlmarkt is BACK and BIGGER than ever! More booths = more fun! Kriskindlmarkt is an outdoor, traditional European-style market with local artisans of all kinds! Located centrally in Downtown Sparta, with booths in Mueller Square and by the NEW Love Lock Bridge and Beaver Creek Kiosk area. For information go here.

Holmen Jingle Fest 2021

Celebrate the holidays in downtown Holmen with the 2nd annual Holmen for the Holidays JINGLE FEST, Saturday, December 4th!

Local vendors and artisans will be set up inside the American Legion. Outdoor food trucks, a petting zoo and an appearance by Santa throughout the day. Warm up by stopping at the many outdoor fire pits, while enjoying Christmas carolers and sipping hot cocoa from local merchants. Many Main Street businesses will be offering holiday promotions and specials. Find the Jingle Camper and purchase jingle bell bracelets and necklaces. All proceeds going to Holmen for the Holidays. • Shop local vendors: 12pm-4pm
• Holmen Library will be hosting stories and crafts: 12pm – 2pm
• Parade: 5pm, ending at Halfway Creek Park for The Holmen Rotary Club’s special tree lighting event. Walk through a wonderland of decorated trees.
