YOU CAN RIDE GO-KARTS ON THE ICE THIS WINTER IN MINNESOTA

In the mid-west when things get cold there are 2 types of people: those that complain and those that put it to good use! We have so many activities we can do when the temperature makes your face hurt. From just going out sledding or skiing to snowmobiling and snowshoeing there is a lot of fun stuff to get you out of the house that some places are probably jealous of not getting to do. For those of you that whine about the temperatures and snowfall that happens every year, I think it’s time you stop with the whining and get with having some fun! Going out in the cold is so rewarding when you go inside after playing in fresh powder and drink some hot chocolate or cider especially when you add some adult beverage to the cold weather standards (I suggest Bailey’s and butterscotch schnapps respectively). I saw that a new way to enjoy the cold weather and maybe get that urge whip doughnuts in the mall parking lot is coming to Minnesota. They are bringing go-karting on ice to Stillwater, Minnesota this winter and I am very interested in going to it and taking a few spins around the track. You bundle up just like you always do and they give you a helmet that will keep your noggin warm. Then you give ‘er hell around the track as you do real-life-Mario Cart! It sounds like an absolute blast! Great thing is that it’s an easy drive up Highway 61, and Stillwater is a beautiful town to visit, go downtown and do some antique shopping or walk across the lift bridge. Maybe take a trip to Lift Bridge Brewing Company for some libations as well. Either way this looks like a fun way to spend a cold afternoon racing with the family and knocking off some of that eventual cabin fever. You can read more about it by clicking here.
