FANS FIGHT AT MINNESOTA HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY GAME

Fighting is a staple in the game of hockey. It is literally the only sport where they allow two players to just start decking each other until they stop it and don’t kick them out of the game. It’s kind of weird if you think about it. This type of action is not allowed at the high school level for several reasons and is a good idea. No one wants to see teenagers without million-dollar salaries punch each other until someone gets so injured that they can’t play. Something that has become more frequent and disturbing in high school sporting events is fans and parents getting into physical altercations with coaches, players, and each other. This weekend it happened in Minnesota at a White Bear Lake and Tartan matchup. Apparently, an adult fan got physical with teenage fans. Adult vs teenager is never a good idea. There isn’t a clear instigator here and I’m sure stories will vary from person to person, but as an adult you better make sure those kids are coming after you no matter how far away from them you run if you’re throwing haymakers at them. That does not seem to be the man’s strategy as he continues to engage the kids physically. The person filming clearly is upset because they keep releasing blood curdling screams as they continue to record the event. An officer and other adults eventually broke things up and the game was delayed until the ruckus was stopped. The game then continued, but I’m sure the story and the charges are still to come.
