It’s the “best little sub shop you’ve never heard of!” The Sweet Stop & Sandwich Shoppe in Preston was definitely worth the drive. They not only have great sandwiches, but soups, salads and lots of sweet homemade treats. They also serve breakfast all day.

You walk in and immediately you can smell the aroma of fresh baked bread. The staff was very friendly and polite. Brenda and Mike (the owners) were a pleasure to talk to and get to know and are very welcoming. Watch the video below for daily specials and the “mystery” sandwich that was made for me.

They have several types of bread, wraps to choose from along with meats, cheeses, veggies, sauces and more.

I was torn between the club or the “mystery” sandwich. The “mystery” is something they will whip up for you. Of course, if there is a specific bread, ingredient, vegetable, sauce, meat, etc. you don’t like, they won’t put it on there for you, but the intrigue of a “mystery” sandwich was enough for me to get it. I did choose the herb & garlic bread, otherwise my “mystery” sandwich was ham, turkey, bacon with smoked cheddar cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, lettuce, french fried onion, mayo and yellow mustard! It was absolutely packed full of yummy goodness.

When it comes to the sweet treats, Mike makes them all in-house. They have a great assortment of treats. My sweet tooth was definitely fulfilled as I got to pick a combination of three cheesecake treats. I chose a peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake, a raspberry white chocolate cheesecake and s’mores cheesecake. This dessert hit the spot!
