BRUCE WILLIS ANNOUNCES HIS RETIREMENT DUE TO MEDICAL CONDITION
Written by Tony Schultz on March 30, 2022
It always comes as a bit of a shock when an entertainer that we have seen for years on on screens or heard on the radio suddenly isn’t there anymore. Just a few months ago we were ready to celebrate Betty White turning 100 years old, but before we could her time on Earth ran out. So while this isn’t about someone dying it is a sad moment that Bruce Willis has to retire from acting due to a medical condition. He was recent;y diagnosed with Aphasia which, depending on what type he has can cause him to not be able to comprehend what people are saying or be able to put words in their proper order when speaking. his daughter, Rumer Willis announced the diagnosis using her Instagram account. This was a welcome announcement because it came straight from the family instead of an uninformed tabloid. Bruce has given us some great moments in entertainment with his breakout on the TV series “Moonlighting” that he parlayed into a successful movie action hero career with the “Die Hard” series being his best known highlight playing police officer John McClain. With that first movie he attained super star status with one of the most famous catchphrases, “Yippe-ki-yay m&*^%$$#%&r!” Bruce’s ability to play at times the most annoyed person in the world and biggest smart aleck at the same time endeared him to fans of his movies. It was refreshing when he played a psychiatrist in “The Sixth Sense” who was (SPOILER ALERT!) dead the whole time. Bruce Willis was more of the everyman hero compared to others at the time like Arnold, Sylvester, and Jean Claude. He saved the Earth from an asteroid, an alien invasion, and countless terrorist attacks. Thank you Bruce for sharing your talent with us all!
