“GLUE GIRL” CAUSES STICKY SITUATION AT TIMBERWOLVES GAME OVER CHICKENS

In America you have the right to peacefully protest to bring attention to any cause you see fit. We’ve seen times when people feel the need to protest at sporting events because they have not only a live audience, but hopefully a number of cameras and home viewers that see them. Whether they simply streak the field of play with something written on their bare skin or they climb into the rafters of U.S. Bank stadium with climbing/repelling gear and hang a banner from the ceiling they do get the notice they want. Last night at the Minnesota Timberwolves vs. La Clippers game there was a moment where a free throw was going to be taken. At the opposite end of the court a woman was suddenly lying on the court and the TV broadcasters thought that someone had fallen from the Target Center staff, or a fan had stumbled on to the court and fallen. Even Patrick Beverly from the Wolves tried to help her. It took a minute to figure out that neither was the issue. Apparently the woman was trying to super glue herself to the floor in protest over Timberwolves owner, Glen Taylor’s chicken farm in Iowa that had to euthanize chickens due to the Bird Flu. She fought hard to keep her hand firmly placed so the glue could set, and it did get some adhesion as they did have to rip her hand off the court to remove her. It wasn’t enough to keep her there and it took a couple minutes to clean up the mess she made, but the hand print was still visible after the game with the question remaining as to how much of it was glue and how much was some skin. While it slowed down the game a little they quickly resumed and she was later interviewed by people outside the Target Center because, for some reason she wasn’t in jail. You can see what the broadcast team saw and a video close up of her getting removed below. The Wolves went on to win the game, but “Glue Girl” stole the show.
