A NEW JERSEY TEACHER SAVES A CHOKING CHILD

A hero is definitely a title this teacher deserves. A young boy can be seen in this video drinking water from a bottle. Suddenly you see a gush of water as he has obviously squeezed the bottle too hard. What you can’t see in that gush of water is that the cap that has popped off went right down his throat causing him to start to choke. He tries to run to a back sink to get it out, but when that doesn’t work he smartly runs up to his teacher for help. After a few thrusts of the Heimlich Maneuver he coughs the cap out. It’s unnerving to watch at first as he runs to the back of the room where no one can see him and his classmates don’t know that he’s even in distress. Miss Jenkins saved a life with her quick thinking.
