THE TIK TOK TEXT-TO-VOICE ACTRESS REVEALED!

There is always some mystery around voices we hear on a daily basis, but never see the person doing them. You probably remember a voice from a series of commercials or a cartoon and wonder what the real person looks like. Some people have made huge careers off only being heard on TV, radio, or video games and hardly ever seen. While some are recognizable for being in small roles on screen only to have their careers turn down the voice actor trail. Nancy Cartwright had small role in “The Twilight Zone Movie” and then went on to be the voice of Bart Simpson. Cree Summer was on the sitcom “A Different World” before become the gravelly, high pitched voice of a myriad of cartoon characters. Jason Marsden started out as Eddie Munster in a remake of the show “The Munsters” in 1987 and has gone on to voice several well known characters in cartoons and video games. The only person that may be just as famous for all three of these feats? Casey Kasem. Known mostly for his American Top 40 countdown Casey also appeared on a TV show as a host, and as a guest star on sitcoms and game shows. But an entire generation grew up with him on their radio and on their Saturday morning cartoons. He was the original voice of Shaggy on “Scooby-Doo”, Robin on several Batman and Justice League cartoons, and he did voices on Jabberjaw and Transformers. The voice almost everyone in the world hears on a daily basis today comes out of the internet and more specifically, Tik Tok. Kat Callaghan, a radio and podcaster from Canada recently revealed that she is, in fact the voice of the Tik Tok text-to-speech function. The funny thing is she just joined Tik Tok recently and of course people doubt that she really is the voice. That’s stupid because announcing yourself all over the Internet as the Tik Tok voice as a lie is going to go over really well. Thanks Kat for turning the words I type into words you say!
