A DEER IN WEST ALLIS, WI DECIDED TO TAKE A HOME TOUR

I can tell you that the deer have been in the rut for the last few week. The one I shot and the young buck he was about to tussle with cam running into the woods and had no idea I was there as they were pursing a doe. I’ve seen several pictures this year and in years past showing how deer can be when they are in a full amorous condition. While we humans don’t get affected by this very much the deer can at times get overly confused by what they are seeing. The guess here is that the young buck saw a reindeer decoration and thought it was a potential mate. they don;t mention it in the story, but my guess is that he saw his own reflection in the home owner’s front door and decided his reflection was a potential rival. He did what any riled up male would do: he charged it and broke into their house. He hung out for 3 hours trying to get out until the DNR could get there to help out. Luckily everyone is OK and the deer is back out in the woods. Waiting. Waiting to strike once again.
