MANAGER GETS HERSELF FIRED OVER SICK DAYS MESSAGE

We all knwo those people that we’ve worked with that abuse sick days. They always seem to be sick on a Friday or Monday and then talk about what great fun they had over the weekend. Some are so bold as to pull the stunt around the holidays and act like no one will notice. First we get mad at them. Then we get mad at management for not doing something about it. Finally we get mad when the manager addresses the entire team even though it only applies to certain employees as if everyone is at fault. Our anger comes to a full head when they should be fired, but for some reason are not or keep getting brought back. We do, at times forget the stress the management is put under due to policies for termination and the lack of workers right now. The manager at this Olive Garden had obviously hit her own breaking point with sick days and maybe some not being honest with why they really weren’t there. Olive Garden did not agree with the email she put out to the staff and she lost HER job. Give it a read and see what you think. Was she right or wrong?
