COUNTRY STAR OF THE MONTH: WARREN ZEIDERS

If you would have asked me a year ago how much Warren Zeiders music have you listened to I would have said, “None”. He wasn’t on my or most others’ radar. Enter Country Boom and their 2023 lineup. Zeiders is listed on their openers list and I had to go seek out his music and I was very impressed. The first song that popped up was “Ride The Lightning” and I was immediately hooked. That song was released in 2021 and has gone platinum without being played on mainstream radio much. Now that his song “Pretty Little Poison” has hit the airwaves he is much more well known.

“Pretty Little Poison” has climbed the charts over the last few months putting Zeiders in front of everyone. His style and gravely voice is really cool to listen to. He embraces his southern drawl in his singing and it pushes his vocals to the front without it being a distraction. You’d never know he came from Pennsylvania and went to college to study business while playing on the lacrosse team at Frostburg State University. As a slew of artists have come to find, social media and Tik Tok videos are a great way to get recognized these days and Warren is no different. He quickly racked up over 500,000 followers with his cover songs and originals that he sang on the platform. He joins a current sound in Country Music that feels more grounded in the roots of the genre. I expect he’ll continue to bring more great music and look forward to seeing him live again. His performance at Boom was one of the best and the energy was remarkable from beginning to end. Take a deep dive into his music and you will quickly become a fan.
