PACKERS PLAYER IN HOT WATER OVER PUSHING LIONS TRAINER

The final week in the NFL was emotional in a number of different ways. There are a number of teams that had nothing to play for as their losses ended their hopes for the postseason weeks ago. For those still in the playoff hunt they were fully charged up and ready to either solidify their position to get in altogether. Before that, of course the main focus of discussion was on Damar Hamlin and his medical emergency from last week’s Monday Night Football game. It had a lot of people not even following football talking about the unprecedented moment. The event also brought a lot of attention to the training staffs and emergency medical technicians and paramedics that are nearby to help in the worst of situations and that was definitely the worst. The other night as the Packers hosted the Lions trying to secure a win to get into the playoffs there was an injury on the field and the trainers went out to assist. One trainer placed him hand on Packers rookie Quay Walker to get by him and for some reason Walker took offense to that and shoved him. The Detroit trainer wasn’t too happy either and turned around on Walker and stood up for himself. They probably could have called a penalty on Devonte Wyatt as well as he chest bumped the trainer. After a few minutes the officials disqualified Walker from the game at a critical part of a Lions drive. Not a smart action considering what was on the line much less after what happened last week. The Packers ended up losing the game and there could very well be some fines that are levied against a few of those players. If you haven’t seen it here is the video from the game. During the game head coach Matt LaFleur was obviously not happy with Walker and was holding him accountable for his actions. Walker also went on Twitter and apologized in his own words, but it appears he has since deleted his account.
