WHO’S YOUR FAVORITE MASCOT?

Major League Baseball’s Opening Day is tomorrow! Millions of fans have been chomping at the bit waiting for this unofficial sign of Spring. The MLB has been in Spring Training for the last month getting everyone ready to go. It’s not just the players that need to get ready but also the mascots that help entertain fans at the games. Some are more well known than others like the Phillie Phanatic or the San Diego Chicken, but that doesn’t mean they are the favorite choice. A poll was taken of the teams that have mascots and placed them in head-to-head competition to see which one fans loved the most. Paws from the Detroit Tigers came in first with TC Bear from the Minnesota Twins coming in 3rd just behind Clark the Cub. Brewers’ fans might argue that Bernie Brewer is a little lower down the list than they like at 18th, but no one else goes down a slide when their team gets a dinger. The Padres Swinging Friar comes in last, but maybe because 3 teams don’t even have mascots for the Yankees, Angels, and Dodgers. Here’s how they ranked.
