There are many ways to enjoy a frosty beverage. Most people drink or sip on a coldie to enjoy it and not give them too much of a buzz too fast. There are times (usually in college) where there needs to be proof of your drinking prowess and ability to down a beer quickly. There is the standard chugging of a can/bottle/red Solo cup, the funnel apparatus, and the conventional shotgun of a beer can to show how quickly you can drink one down. The final method is where you poke a hole in the can and then open the top to cause the golden liquid to rush into your mouth. Frequently seen at frat houses, corn field parties, and in the tailgate lots of football games and concerts. It is pretty much an American tradition.
