GOLFER GETS A SHOUT OUT FROM THE REAL “HAPPY”

We all know someone there has to be someone out there that has a name that is the same as a famous person or character. When it’s on purpose moms and dads think that naming their child after a famous person just because their last name matches up is fun or cool because it’s their favorite character. They don’t think about the kid getting teased for the name or the fact that the name might not be as cool in a decade. The other situation is where people just happened to come up with a name before that person or character became famous or are oblivious to what’s going on in pop culture. If you’ve seen the movie “Office Space” then you know the burden of being named Michael Bolton or maybe you are someone saddled with a famous name yourself. Having a famous nickname can be different. You can maybe use that to your advantage if your career path is destined to be a perfect match. Landon Gilmore grew up to be a really good golfer and is headed to Division 1 school Ball State to play golf. Of course he goes by the nickname “Happy” in reference to the 90s film “Happy Gilmore” played by Adam Sandler. Sandler (the real Happy Gilmore) saw his recent tweet of his commitment to college and not only re-tweeted it, but gave him well wishes.
