ILLINOIS’ GOVERNOR TELLS YOU HOW TO SPOT THE IDIOT IN THE ROOM

Politicians always have a message in their speeches. Sometimes it’s about them. Sometimes it’s about their opponent. Usually it is about the next project they are trying to get accomplished or standards they are trying to set so that the voting public knows. On rare occasions they get invited to do a speech that has nothing to do with their politics, policies, or their next campaign. Illinois Governor JB Pritzker gave the commencement speech at Northwestern recently. He originally went viral for using quotes from “The Office” for added humor and the funny thing is he was unaware Steve Carell happened to be in the audience for his own daughter’s graduation. Now, a better part of that speech has come forward where it isn’t about humor, but about how to spot the “idiot” in the world. I think he’s spot on.
