THIS IS MY NIGHTMARE: STUCK UPSIDE DOWN ON A ROLLER COASTER

Everyone has fears. Whether they let you know it or not even the bravest person has something that makes them shake in their boots a bit. Heights, spider, snakes, speed, flying … you name it, there are people afraid of anything you can come up with. For me it isn’t height but the not having a barrier when up high. It’s the fear of falling that I really have. I love flying and can be up high, but if I don’t feel secure I could almost fall to my knees. I also don’t like being suspended upside down. Can I ride a roller coaster with loops? Absolutely. But hanging upside down for an extended period from large heights isn’t gonna work for me. I once rode a coaster at a Disney park where the climb to the top with a straight vertical climb. That was the scariest part for me with thoughts of the harness failing and me falling out to my doom. The rest of it was one of the best coaster rides I ever had. Some folks in Crandon, Wisconsin lived what I would have lost my mind being involved in. The Fireball roller coaster got stuck with riders upside down. The worst part is that they were stuck that way for around 3 hours. There is some video of them hanging there and then the fire department rescuing them with ladder trucks. I have to wonder if I was in that situation if it would have cured me or scarred me for life and I would never ride one again.
