97 YEAR OLD SAVES UP TO BUY A RIDING MOWER

As we age we know we all slow down in certain aspects. We can’t walk as fast or lift as heavy of objects as we used to and with that maybe our vision or hearing get worse. We also figure there are certain things we don’t need anymore because they seem extravagant and we’re just “too old for that”. 97 years old Marie Erickson doesn’t think her age should stop her from certain things like going out and taking care of her lawn. She doesn’t drive a car anymore, but she sure does drive a lawn tractor. She always liked being outside and doing landscaping so she saved up and bought a brand new John Deere lawn tractor to get outside and keep moving. Too many people retire and stop moving and that usually causes a downhill slide to their health. Good on her for finding a way to keep moving and take care of herself and do something she enjoys. Marie is a perfect example of how keeping moving helps keep you young. I hope I’m as sharp and mobile as she is at that age.
