GIRL SCOUTS WERE POSSIBLE SNACK FOR GATOR IN TEXAS

I’m glad I live somewhere that there are dangers to going swimming in the wild, but nothing too dangerous. I’ve never once worried about being eaten alive by anything without warning. The most I’ve thought about is snapping turtles biting my toes or the occasional snake swimming by. In other states there are things that will kill you if you’re not careful or at the least injure you severely. Some Girl Scouts in Texas had a bit of a close encounter with one of those creatures: an alligator. This gator is big too! They were swimming at a lake and the gator swims up and is headed in their direction in a less than casual manner. Leaders get them out of the water but not without one of them needing to distract it a bit as the girls scream and swim for safety. Maybe he just wanted to order cookies??? Glad everyone is safe and sound and they should all earn a badge of some sort for that experience.
