PEOPLE’S FOOD CO-OP BOUGHT THE FAYZE’S BAKERY AND SAVED SOME JOBS

We are hearing it too much the last few years: our business is closing. The most impacted seems to be the restaurant business. All over the country there are community staples that have closed because after the pandemic they lost their work force. Prices also rose due to shipping issues and supply chain issues. Fayze’s in downtown LaCrosse had to close their doors recently leaving a bit of a hole for family dining. The People’s Food Co-op bought the bakery and the Fayze’s name and recipes to keep the good food coming. More important is that they were able to keep a few people employed from the former business and keep family favorites available for purchase.
