NO SURPRISE AT TIME’S PERSON OF THE YEAR: TAYLOR SWIFT

You can’t go a day or maybe even an hour in a day without hearing her name: Taylor Swift. When she hit the airwaves when she was still a teenager she became a sensation. Now as an adult she basically runs the world. She has an insane following of “Swifties” and they are keeping her the current Queen of Pop. As some singers of her caliber have been a bit more edgy during their reign Taylor still remains a pretty likable and not very controversial figure in the zeitgeist. She is a mega successful singer, has done some acting that has been well received, and her Era’s Tour is one of the most successful in history. Add in that she has been dating Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce and she seems to be popping up everywhere with it being difficult to get away from her.
