The Savage, Minnesota Fire Department getting some notoriety after their spoof of “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” went viral.

“Savage Fire Station Vacation” has racked up 1.4 million views on TikTok and just over 49,000 views on Facebook.

Creating Christmas movie spoofs has become a tradition for Savage FD. They’ve also posted spoofs of Home Alone and Elf.

According to WCCO, public outreach is the purpose for posting the spoofs.

“They get a face to the service and they feel a little more comfortable when they are responding to their house,”Firefighter Sam Dockry said. “Whether that’s fire or medical, it might be one of the worst days of their life. So, to have some familiarization with the crews that work here in Savage goes a long way.”
