MINNESOTA HAS SOME NEW SNOWPLOW NAMES
Written by Tony Schultz on January 31, 2024
Every year the Minnesota Department Of Transportation (MNDOT) has an annual Name That Snowplow contest. They ask for creative names for individual plows in their fleet and their region. For Southeast Minnesota the plow name is “You’re Killin’ Me Squalls” making reference to the movie The Sandlot and the famous line now part of pop culture reference and a sudden strong snowfall. The overall winner was for the Northwest Minnesota region and just goes to show how popular T. Swift is with the winning plow name being Taylor Drift. It also got the most overall votes showing that Swifties have incredible voting power when it comes to snowplow titles. You can see the complete list of entries by clicking on the winners picture. My personal favorite? SKOL Plow.
