TIMBERWOLVES’ ANTHONY EDWARDS PHRASE AFTER BIG WIN HAS GONE EPICALLY VIRAL

Written by on May 21, 2024

Sunday night was game 7 of the playoffs in the NBA where the Denver Nuggets hosted the Minnesota Timberwolves in a win or go home match-up. It did not look good for Minnesota at halftime and at the start of the 3rd quarter. Most Minnesota fans were seeing the usual drop out of the playoffs with a whimper instead of a battle. Something changed in the 3rd quarter where the Wolves came back from a historic deficit to eventually win the game and head to the Western Conference Finals. While that was a great story the real story has been the new catchphrase that has taken the Minnesota by storm. In a post game interview with Wolves star Anthony Edwards he was told by analyst Charles Barkley that he hadn’t been to Minnesota “in probably 20 years”. Edwards, still standing on the court after the big win quickly said, “Bring ya ass!” Soon afterward it became a viral sensation. Yesterday the entire state of Minnesota and Timberwolves fans had adopted the phrase. Need proof? Several memes of iconic Minnesota locations have popped up and even place like the Minnesota State Fair got on board with their own version. Even the site Explore Minnesota made a website name bringyaass.com that takes you to their main site. You can see the exchange below.
