INGRID ANDRESS STRUCK OUT SINGING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM

We’ve all been subjected to poor performances by artists. They are usually contained and have a reason where the singer was fighting a cold or vocal strain. However, an artist is never put through as much scrutiny as when they sing the National Anthem. It’s usually at a sporting event and on national television. When it’s great it is celebrated, but when it goes poorly they get savaged. Unfortunately for Country singer Ingrid Andress she had the latter happen to her. Monday night at the Home Run Derby for the MLB All Star Game she was the Anthem singer. While most times these performances are lip synced this was obviously live as it was …. not good. Andress was originally in acapela groups before going solo so we know she can sing and has four Grammy nominations. Last night was not a good as she struggled with lyrics and her tones. Many have deemed it the worst National Anthem in history and they might be right. I hate to bring it up because she is so talented, but it can’t be ignored how bad it went for her.
