ANNUAL VIKINGS MASCOT GAME PUT ON A FUN HALFTIME SHOW AGAIN

Written by on November 6, 2024

Mascots don’t always get the love and respect they deserve. They represent the team at events and try to get the fans hyped up on game day. Some are played by some very athletic people that participate in stunts that thrill us at halftime or between quarters. While some are more memorable than others, and some are just scary they get along better than the players on the field. Every year the Vikings have Victor’s Mascot Game and it has provided some memorable viral moments of kids from youth football programs getting tackled or trucked by a mascot headed to the endzone. Once again the Victor got a crew together to play against the Maple Grove 4th graders. One of the best things is that they dressed up the kids like they were walking into the game like the pros with fancy bling and clothes. It has become a bit of a tradition now and even the major networks give it some love. The funny thing (or not depending on your frame of mind) was that both teams each scored 2 touchdowns while neither of the professional teams’ offenses on the field had scored any. I find this a good way to remind us all that in the end it’s just a game and it’s best when kids are having fun playing it!
