PETA Recirculates a 20-Year-Old Video About Bad Treatment of Turkeys

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) posted a decades-old video of turkeys being mistreated and abused at a Butterball turkey processing plant in Ozark, Arkansas.

Keep in mind that the video was taken before Butterball went private and that Butterball is now the only turkey company in the United States that is “American Humane Certified”. They also have a zero-tolerance policy in their plants for animal mistreatment. Sometimes people stop reading after the headline and first sentence then spread the misinformation online to others.

News, good or bad, can travel faster than the truth and in many cases, the truth is never read at all.
