Another Presidential Pardon

Peach and Blossom, weighing in at 41 and 40 pounds respectively, were part of the ceremony on Monday on the White House lawn. President Biden said they are named after the Delaware state flower, the peach blossom. The birds stayed in a suite at the Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington DC before the ceremony. The president joked Peach lived by the motto “keep calm and gobble on.” Blossom’s mantra, he said, was “no foul play, just Minnesota nice.” Both birds are headed back to Waseca, Minnesota.
