Gen Z’s New Drinking Habits

Gen Zers are drinking less alcohol than their elders. Since about 2000, drinking among high school students has been declining…despite alcohol consumption having risen overall in recent decades. Young people today tend to be more open about issues and more inclined to deal with anxiety and depression by seeking out therapy and other forms of professional help instead of simply hoping to blow off steam by drinking and partying.
